AXIS Freeride Stabs

The Axis research team is constantly exploring the subtleties of rear wing design and the difference even small changes can make to performance and handling.

With five distinct ranges to cover all foiling disciplines, you can be sure that AXIS has the perfect rear wing for you. See the range summary and table to make your selection. As a rule of thumb, smaller rear wings will loosen up your set up for tight carving, but will also reduce stability and pumpability.

FREERIDE

The Freeride range; with wider chords, are the perfect choice for beginner wingers, windsurfers and SUP foilers. The design emphasis is on easy lift, stability and predictable turning. The 440/90, paired with our BSC 1060 front wing, is the popular choice for learning to wing foil.

Freeride Small

As above, but in smaller dimensions for advancing riders looking to get large wings turning more freely.

500 Freeride Carbon Rear Wing

The AXIS Carbon 500 rear wing is the most stable of our rear wings. Ideal for the entry level and all round riders, the 500 will make your ride as stable as it gets. Suggested as an all round companion to our larger front wings (1020, 920).

You can combine the 500 rear wing with either the Standard, Short or ULTRA Short Red Fuselages for quicker turning and looser feel.

440 Freeride Carbon Rear Wing

The AXIS 440 rear wing is the allround rear wing that does everything well. It feels looser than the 500mm rear wing, it's playful and overall high performing.

You can combine the 440 rear wing with either the Standard, Short or ULTRA Short Red Fuselages for quicker turning and looser feel.

The AXIS 400 Carbon Rear Wing is the carving specialist. Even looser than the 440 rear wing, it's the most turny and performance oriented rear wing on our collection.

A must have with the 750 and 680 front wings, but also works miracles with the bigger wings, making the ride more playful and high performing. And when combined with the ULTRA Short Red fuselage then your ride gets looser than ever!

390 Freeride Small Carbon Rear Wing

The AXIS 390 GAP Carbon Rear Wing is a new rear wing addition from AXIS. Different to our other rear wings, the AXIS 390 GAP rear wing has an extensive flat section in the middle, with turned down tips.

Many Wing Surfing riders love this rear carbon wing for wing foiling, and it's a great compliment to the 900 and 1000 carbon front wings, for wing surfing. It adds a bit of extra glide and lift, while enhancing turning and cruising control.

The AXIS 340 Carbon Rear Wing is the smallest rear wing we make. Super loose, designed mainly for the 2020 600, and 545 kite wings, but also works well with the 680, 660 surf wings (for a super loose ride)
